Art in the Community

In collaboration with Epsom Arts Society, we are displaying work from Epsom Downs Community School at Tattenham Corner Train Station.

We have chosen to display the Year 6 art work based on the work of American artist Peter Thorpe. The children researched and discussed what they thought of Thorpe’s work and techniques he used.

They then built on their own skills; using paint for the background and their drawing skills for the rocket.

They merged both of these to create their final pieces which they then evaluate.

We hope you enjoy looking at the pieces as much as the children enjoyed creating them.
